2005 Marching Mules Staff

The Department of Music is pleased to welcome Dr. Scott Lubaroff as Central Missouri’s Director of Bands.  Scott joins the CMSU music faculty following 4 years of service at Kansas State University as the Associate Director of Bands.  Dr. Lubaroff's assignments at CMSU will include overseeing the Marching Mules, directing the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, teaching conducting courses, teaching music education courses, and supervising student teachers.

Assisting with the Marching Mules are faculty members Dr. David Stagg, Associate Director of Bands, and Dr. Michael Sekelsky, Assistant Director.  David Stagg is currently serving in his 25th season as marching band assistant and trombone instructor, while Michael Sekelsky begins his 22nd year with the athletic bands and director of percussion studies at CMSU.  Graduate Assistant in Bands, Amy Wardell is returning for her 2nd season on the Marching Mules staff, and will direct the Mules/Jennies Basketball Pep Band for the 2005-2006 season.

Elaina Knapp, junior Secondary English Education major from Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights, Missouri, returns for her 3rd season as the Feature Twirler for the Marching Mules.  Elaina is a past winner of the Missouri Miss Majorette competition and has competed twice at the national Notre Dame twirling competition, representing Central Missouri State University.
