The Department of Music offers several types of scholarships and service awards for incoming freshman. Every student in the Marching Mules recieves a $600 Service Award (half credited to the student's account prior to the beginning of the season and the remainder credited following successful completion of the marching season).

To qualify for the Service Award, students must meet the following criteria:

1. Complete a marching band audition *Students must only audition once to qualify for the renewable $600 service award.

2. Enroll in MUS 1005, Marching Band (1.0 sem. hours)

3. Enroll for a minimum of 12 semester hours

4. Remain in good academic standing (students on academic probation are not eligle for service awards).
