GENERAL PERCUSSION INFORMATION Percussion lessons / instruction: Dr. Michael J. Sekelsky, Assistant Director of Bands / Professor of Music – Percussion, is currently in his 23rd year at Central Missouri. · DEGREES: All in Percussion Performance: BM – University of Wisconsin – Superior, MM and DMA – University of Kansas. · LESSONS: Every Percussion Major / Minor receives an individual weekly lesson (1/2 hour lesson or 1 hour lesson determined by degree program). · AREAS: Lessons are available from Dr. Sekelsky in the following areas: All Concert Percussion; Rudimental/Corps Drumming; Drumset; Jazz Vibraphone; Digital Percussion; Hand Drumming.
